<description>My name is David Burton and I was hoping that I can share with your readers and or listeners a poem that I have written about Jena 6.

Jena 6
As the tears of injustice fall upon the faces of the targeted while they languish in anger and fear. While the shackles of discrimination are upon us all, we must undoubtedly do more than show that we care.
We must continue fight, not only for the Jena 6 but for our selves as well. We must also show that we will not succumb to intimidation, oppression and discrimination. Let’s show the world our true meaning of existence. We must make a firm stand here and now because this is where we dwell, in a cynical world bound for hell.
I remember the words of Dr. Martin Luther King speech “I Have A Dream.”
“I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.”
It appears that those words are no longer living words but, have been smothered and trampled on by the boots of injustice, or so it seems. However, all men are created equal.
Despite how some people are in a position to destroy ones life with a fountain pen, again and again.
Because this is not the first time to make a bold state as such. We must strive to make it his last by putting District Attorney Reed Walters on Global Blast. For all the under- handed deals that are untold, for all the victims that were victimized by him and his fountain pen.
I think its time for us to intelligently speak up and carry the torch of those who came before us. Dr. Martin Luther King , Malcolm X, Rosa Park who decided to sit where she wanted on the bus.
The media reluctantly and carefully covered the Jena 6 story. Reluctantly, to be careful of political favors that was unspoken. Carefully, to ensure those political favors will remain unbroken.
They have been pulling the wool over many eyes for a long time. Now the judicial system should expect change. We as a nation cannot allow these incidents to go unchallenged and expect the system to change as they turn the other cheek and pretend to be blind.
Let’s raise awareness of racial injustice, put it on the forefront of our minds as we strive for equality, equal justice and make this an urgent matter that was already pre-ordained.
It was paid for by our fore-fathers blood that screamed out for justice while they were slain.
How long are we going allow them condemn us by going into their political injustice bag of tricks. We should stand as a nation and make it clear that we will not tolerate injustice any more. We should start now and do what ever it takes to FREE JENA 6.
